About The Artist
Nichan Srourian started sculpting and painting at very early age. He was a natural creator of art. His arts presents incentive techniques in combining various media, and incorporates industrial methods of fabricating.
Lately as a hobby he created many sculptures donated to churches and schools.
It started in 1969 with an idea and hard work when Nichan founded Polyplex Plastics Inc. in Beirut, Lebanon. The company initially pioneered the metalization of plastics and the production of polyurethane shoe soles in the Middle East. In 1978 Polyplex Plastics of North America Inc. was establishes and has a long relationship with reputable firms like US shoe company, Steve Madden, American Apparel, Biondini, Pleaser USA, Zero corp, Magdesian Bros Inc. and Ortronics, Legrand North & Central America.
Polyplex Plastics opened its doors 1978 in Los Angeles USA , specializing in the development and production of various plastic parts and components via injection molding. Nichan captained the growth of the company’s footwear division Reflection Shoes that was for manufacturing and distributing and exporting women’s footwear to over 100 countries across 6 continents.

Polyplex plastics did international shows in Europe and USA. Under the company name of Reflection Shoes.

Shoe manufacturing layout.
In 1980 Sexy shoes were made under Reflection Shoes and plastic platforms were made by Polyplex plastics, Inc. which were the first sexy shoes introduced to the dancers and strippers.
Heels of 5 “ to 8 inches sexy shoes were produced for Frederick’s of Hollywood which thereafter developed into a huge industry worldwide.
